Pets Guide: All Steal an Egg Pets, Income and Best per Zone

Updated 2026-09-02 · Roblox Steal An Egg

Pets (the game calls them Creatures) are what you get when you carry a stolen egg back to your pen and hatch it. Every pet pays cash per second ($/s), and that cash buys pens, treadmills and trails, which raise your Speed and open the next zone.

Quick answers to the questions people search most:

  • Best pet overall: Mecha Dreadscale at $4B/s base, a Robux-only Monster Egg pet. The top pet from a regular zone is Nightflame (Divine, Titan Temple) at $3B/s in the Fandom data, though the Fandom Titan Temple page still marks its listing as unconfirmed; next is Kitsune (Divine, Cherry Blossom) at $1.8B/s. Eurogamer lists both incomes as TBC.
  • Crane pet: an Epic hatched from a Cherry Blossom Egg, $4K/s base. It matters because bringing a Crane to the ancient Sakura tree unlocks the Sakura Incubator and the Bloom mutations. See Crane.
  • How to give pets: neither Fandom nor Eurogamer documents a gift or trade feature. Details below and on Trading.

For the egg index by zone, see All eggs. For rankings, see the Tier list.

How pets make money

Each pet has a base income in $/s fixed by its species. Two rolls at hatch time change that number:

  • Color mutation (Silver, Golden, Rainbow, Bloom, Spirit Bloom), also called an aura.
  • Size, shown as a weight in kg on the pet card. Size is rolled separately from color, so a Golden Giant and a plain Huge can both exist.

The Fandom formula is:

Final Income = Base Income × Color Multiplier × Size Multiplier

Fandom's worked examples use $100/s as the base: Golden + Giant = 100 × 2 × 3 = $600/s (×6), and Rainbow + Huge = 100 × 5 × 5 = $2,500/s (×25). Fandom marks the Silver, Golden and Rainbow multipliers as Unconfirmed, so treat those examples as illustrations, not verified values. Bloom is ×1.5 and Spirit Bloom is ×2.5. Size multipliers per weight are not documented yet. Full table on Mutations.

One trap for new players: eggs come in different colours, and the Eggs page states egg colour changes the look of the egg and pet but not the income. Judge an egg by its shape (which sets the species) and its size, not its colour.

Rarity tiers

Pets sit in eleven rarity tiers. Base $/s below comes from the Fandom pet data module; the ranges show the weakest and strongest pet in each tier.

RarityPets listedBase income rangeExample

Divine2$1B/s to $1.8B/sUnicorn, Kitsune
Event20$100/s to $4B/sTung Tung Sahur, Mecha Dreadscale

Rarity roughly tracks income, but zone matters more: a Prehistoric Rare (Dodo, $280/s) out-earns a Forest Epic (Fox, $180/s), and the Cherry Blossom Epic (Crane, $4K/s) beats a Forest Legendary.

Top 10 pets by base income

The data module files Nightflame and Gorilla King under "Event"; their Divine and Eternal rarities and Titan Temple source come from the Fandom Update 2 notes and Eurogamer. Eurogamer lists Oni Tiger (Eternal, Cherry Blossom) at $600M/s, which would place it eighth; it is missing from the Fandom data module, so that figure is community-reported, unconfirmed. Eurogamer marks Nightflame, Kitsune and every Monster Egg pet as TBC, so the top of this table rests on Fandom alone.

Best pet in each zone

"Best eggs in each zone" really asks which pet a zone's egg pool can give you. Incomes are from Fandom; Speed requirements are from the Fandom Zones page.

Second-best picks worth knowing: Eternal Lunar Dragon in Cosmic ($250M/s), Gorilla King in Titan Temple ($880M/s) and, in Cherry Blossom, Stag ($145M/s) in the Fandom data or Oni Tiger ($600M/s, community-reported, unconfirmed) if Eurogamer's figure holds.

Zone speed gates and guardians are on Zones.

How to get the Crane

The Crane is the entry pet of the Cherry Blossom zone, added in Update 1. To get one:

  1. Reach 2.5 billion Speed to enter Cherry Blossom.
  2. Steal a Cherry Blossom Egg from a nest and outrun the guardian (Fandom's Cherry Blossom page names it Nine-Tailed Fox while its Zones list says Oni Tiger; the two pages disagree and neither is confirmed).
  3. Hatch it in your pen. Crane is the zone's Epic, the lowest-rarity of its eight pets; actual hatch rates are not documented.
  4. Carry the Crane to the ancient Sakura tree to unlock the Sakura Incubator.

More on the Cherry Blossom event.

Can you give or trade pets?

Not according to either source. The Fandom Pets, Eggs and Mutations pages describe only one way to obtain a pet: steal an egg and hatch it in your own pen. Eurogamer's full pet list says the same. No gift button, trade window or mail system is described anywhere, so the "give pets" queries have no confirmed answer. If a trading or gifting update ships, it will be recorded on Trading. Be wary of anyone offering to "give" you a pet through a third-party site; the game provides no such mechanism.

Event and limited pets

Two groups of pets never spawn in zone nests:

  • Monster Egg pets (Scorpio, Froggo, Crawler, Crocodon, Krakenoid, Dreadscale and their Mecha variants) come from the Monster Egg, sold for Robux in the shop as a limited-time item. Every monster has a rare Mecha variant.
  • Brainrot Egg pets (Tung Tung Sahur, Bananita Dolphinita, Belula Beluga, Mangolini Parrochini, Bomboclat Crocolat, Strawberry Elephant) were a limited drop that has expired. They can no longer be hatched.

Limited eggs can also appear through special events such as Admin Abuse.

Where the sources disagree

Fandom and Eurogamer conflict on a few pets: Kraken (Secret $15M/s vs Eternal), Tralaledon ($32M/s vs $850K/s), Eternal Lunar Dragon ($250M/s vs $25M/s), Snake (Legendary vs Epic) and Sand Spider (Desert only vs Desert and Jungle). None is settled, so they are shown as reported rather than resolved.
