Crane Pet in Steal an Egg: Egg, Income and How to Get It

Updated 2026-09-02 · Roblox Steal An Egg

The Crane is an Epic pet that hatches from the Cherry Blossom Egg, the zone egg of the Cherry Blossom biome added in Update 1 (August 2026). It earns $4K/s at base, which is low for its zone, but it matters far more than its income suggests for one reason: you need a Crane to unlock the Sakura Incubator and the Bloom mutations during the Cherry Blossom event.

Which egg is the Crane egg? There is no separate "Crane egg". The Crane comes out of the standard Cherry Blossom Egg that spawns in nests inside the Cherry Blossom zone. The Crane is the lowest rarity in that zone's pool, so players generally report it as the most common result from a Cherry Blossom Egg (community-reported, unconfirmed: the wiki does not publish hatch odds).

How do you get it? Reach 2.5 billion Speed, walk into Cherry Blossom (the zone after Cosmic), steal a Cherry Blossom Egg, carry it home past the guardian, and hatch it in your pen.

The $4K/s figure puts the Crane at the top of the Epic tier. For comparison, the next Epic pets down are Centapede (Cosmic, $1.5K/s) and Swordfish (Abyss Ocean, $1.1K/s). It is still far below the other Cherry Blossom pets, so the Crane is not a money pet. It is a key.

What the Crane egg looks like

The Fandom wiki does not describe the shape of the Cherry Blossom Egg yet, and no image description is available in the source material, so the exact look is not documented yet. Two things from the Eggs page still help you find it:

  • Each zone has its own specific egg, so anything sitting in a nest inside Cherry Blossom is a Cherry Blossom Egg.
  • Eggs come in different colours. Colour changes the look of the egg and pet but not the income, so identify eggs by shape and by the zone they sit in, not by colour.

Cherry Blossom is a Japanese-inspired area with sakura trees and drifting petals, so if you are standing among pink trees past the Cosmic zone, the eggs around you are the right ones. See All eggs for the full zone-by-zone egg list.

How to get a Crane, step by step

  1. Train Speed to 2,500,000,000. Both the Cherry Blossom page and the Zones table list 2.5B Speed as the entry requirement. Use the Speed page for treadmill and trail upgrades.
  2. Go past Cosmic. Progression order is Forest, Lake, Desert, Jungle, Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric, Cosmic, Cherry Blossom, Titan Temple.
  3. Steal a Cherry Blossom Egg. Eggs reset every 5 minutes, so if the nests are empty, wait for the next spawn. The spawn times page covers timers.
  4. Outrun the guardian. Carrying an egg lowers your effective movement speed, and the Fandom Tips section warns that the guardian can catch players who only barely meet the zone requirement. Train well beyond 2.5B before taking a heavy egg.
  5. Hatch it in your pen. The Crane is Epic, the lowest rarity in the zone, so it should be the most frequent hatch (community-reported, unconfirmed: hatch odds are not documented).

Who is the guardian?

Sources disagree. The Cherry Blossom zone page names the guardian as a Nine-Tailed Fox. The Zones overview table on the same wiki lists it as Oni Tiger, and a note under that table says the Cherry Blossom guardian "is listed as Unknown until confirmed by an official source". Treat both names as community-reported and unconfirmed. Either way, it chases you the moment you pick up an egg and tries to stop you reaching your base.

Why the Crane matters: the Blossom event

The Update 1 patch notes spell out the unlock sequence for the Sakura Incubator:

  1. Hatch a Crane from a Cherry Blossom Egg.
  2. Bring the Crane to the ancient Sakura tree inside the Cherry Blossom biome.
  3. Restore the tree to life, which unlocks two new mutations.

Once the incubator is open, the Great Bloom event starts every 30 minutes. Sakura Crystal Trees fill the biome; break them, collect Sakura Crystals, and deposit them into the incubator to mutate your eggs. The active window is community-reported as short (unconfirmed).

MutationMultiplierHow it is obtained
Bloomx1.5Rolled at 97.5% incubator charge
Spirit Bloomx2.52.5% chance via the incubator; guaranteed at 150% charge

The Mutations page adds one practical warning: incubator charge decays if it sits idle, so feed crystals in steadily rather than saving one big batch. Full details are on the Cherry Blossom event and mutations pages.

Common questions

Is the Crane worth keeping after the unlock? Not for income. At $4K/s it is outclassed by every other pet in its zone and by most Legendary pets from earlier zones (Polar Bear from Snow already earns $7K/s). Keep it if you want the index reward, otherwise it is a trade or gift candidate; see trading.

Can you get a Crane without 2.5B Speed? No source documents another route. The Fandom data module lists it under Cherry Blossom, not under Event pets, and the Eggs page says limited eggs from the Store or Admin Abuse are separate event-exclusive eggs. Regular Cherry Blossom nests are the only documented source.

Does the Crane egg spawn somewhere else? No. Biome eggs only spawn in their own zone.

What is "crane" in Steal an Egg? It is a bird pet, not a machine: the Epic-tier animal from the Cherry Blossom zone that opens the Sakura Incubator.
